Synopsis

Thortech International Ltd were proud to work with 2D Construction Ltd to complete the re-surfacing of pathways at the Cystic Fibrosis Centre at the University Hospital Llandough, Cardiff. The CF Centre was funded £4.7 million to be redeveloped and expanded therefore they decided to dedicate some of this towards making the outdoor area a place to relax during their treatment periods. The Centre passionately cares for approximately 300 patients to help them achieve the best quality of life.

Thortech International applied the THORSET™ resin aggregate in colours, Polarois and Moonshadow, to the surface of the pathway, along with a stunning ‘Celtic Knot’ to achieve the clients desired outcome. Our client thoughtfully chose a Celtic knot to be imprinted in the pathway to symbolize the eternity of life to their patients.

The client were delighted with the quality of THORSET™ resin bound surface which now has more than just an aesthetic look, but a meaningful pathway too.
