Stockingfield Bridge, Glasgow

Overview

Stockingfield Bridge is a £13.7 million project reconnecting 3 communities in north Glasgow, Ruchill, Gilshochill and Maryhill. The foot and cycle bridge are an important new link improving access between communities and also opens up routes to the employment and leisure opportunities in the West End and City Centre.

Thortech Bridges & Marine were appointed by Balfour Beatty (working for Scottish Canals) to install 620m² of Thorgrip™ Natural HD for the length of the walkway and fitted nosing pieces to the steps of the bridge.

Scottish Canals approved of our resin product so much so, they awarded additional works.
